Frequently Asked Questions
Dental Scan Belgrade
1. Is an appointment required for dental imaging?
In most cases, no. You can come without an appointment for panoramic (OPG), cephalometric, or small dental X-rays. For specific CBCT procedures and combined scans, we recommend contacting us in advance.
2. How long does the imaging take?
Between 5 and 10 minutes, including preparation. Results are available immediately on film, CD, USB, or via email.
3. What is the radiation dose?
We use the latest generation of digital devices with minimal radiation exposure. For example, a panoramic scan has a lower dose than an average chest X-ray.
4. Is dental imaging safe for children?
Yes. We use specially adjusted parameters and protective aprons for children to minimize exposure.
5. Is imaging safe for pregnant women?
Imaging for pregnant women is performed only when there is a clear medical indication and with a referral.
6. In which formats will I receive my scans?
Digital DICOM format, JPEG for viewing, CD, USB, email, or medical film.
7. Do you send scans directly to the dentist?
Yes. We can send them via email, through a PACS system, or provide them to the patient on a digital medium.
8. Do you provide services on weekends?
Yes, we are open on Saturdays. Working hours are available on the contact page.
9. What types of imaging do you offer?
2D imaging (panoramic, cephalometric, small dental X-rays) and 3D CBCT imaging (standard, implantology, endodontics, TMJ, sinuses).
10. Do you offer 3D scans for implantology?
Yes. We provide CBCT imaging with bone density measurement and implant planning.
11. What is CBCT and when is it used?
CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) is a 3D imaging technique that provides a three-dimensional view of the jaws, teeth, and surrounding structures. It is used in implantology, orthodontics, surgery, and endodontics.
12. What is Smart Focus 3D Set?
It is an option of our CBCT system that allows up to four different scans from a single scan session — reduced radiation dose and time savings.
13. Can I get multiple scans during one visit?
Yes. We can combine 2D and 3D scans during the same visit.
14. How much does imaging cost?
All prices are available in the price list. Prices are the same for all patients, with no hidden costs.
15. Should I bring a dentist’s referral?
It is not mandatory, but it is helpful as it allows us to perform the most appropriate imaging for your needs.
16. Can I bring previous scans for review?
Yes. Previous scans help your dentist compare conditions and monitor treatment progress.
17. How quickly will I receive the report?
In most cases immediately, and for complex 3D analyses within one business day.
18. Do you offer discounts for multiple scans?
Yes, we offer packages and discounts for multiple scans or family visits.
